I thought I would post about some contests for you all to enter. I know not many people, if any, read my blog. But, I wanted to let you know about them.
Star Knits is giving away TWO WIP bags!!! Check them out and let her know which you like best! Also be sure to check out her Etsy site here!!!
Teresa over at Learn to Crochet, is giving away crochet hooks and magazines. Head on over there and check out her blog. It is VERY helpful with many tutorials!!!
Hopefully I will be able to get some pictures taken and post of the Easter outfits I made for myself & hubby and the boys. Michael got a yellow tie and the boys both got yellow vests to match my Cupcake shirt from Sitch 'n Bitch Crochet and my granny square skirt in yellow and white. Everywhere we went people ooo'd and ahh'd and it made me feel really good that I actually made something we could all wear! Actually, I think, that when it was all finished and looking at how much yarn I had left over, I think it cost me less than $10 to make everything!!! WOW!
Now I want us to have matching outfits in every color!!!

Washcloth: FPdc
I came up with this washcloth pattern the other night and thought I would share it with you guys. If you use my pattern, please link back to my blog or to my pattern on Ravelry. Also, I would love for you to send a picture so I can see!!
This is the first pattern I have came up with and the first I have ever written. So, there might be some mistakes. If you happen to find any please let me know! :-)
Hook: I used a K hook, but you can use whatever size you want depending on the size you want to make.
Ch. 30
Foundation Row: hdc in 3rd ch. from hook and then hdc in the remaining chs in the row. (27) ch2 and turn.
Row1: hdc across in each previous hdc. ch 2 and turn.
Row2: *hdc in first 2 previous hdc. FPdc in hdc 2 rows below. Repeat from * across row. Ch2 and turn.
Rows3-27: All odd rows: repeat row 1. Even rows: repeat Row 2.
Cut yarn and finish off.
Edging:
Join yarn and SC all the way around the square. Remember to do 3sc in each corner stitch. Sl.St. to join.
Ch 2 and hdc in each previous sc around (3hdc in each corner). Sl.st. to join and then fasten off.
Weave in ends and you are done!
I hope these instructions have made sense. Like I said, it's my first pattern to write for others.
Let me know how the washcloths(or dishcloths) turn out for you!

Just a few things I have been working on...
I have lots more than what I have pictured here. I just havent taken a picture of everything yet. Or, well..I'm being lazy and these were the things that were close by:
This is a back scrubber for the shower. It was originally supposed to be a scarf but the yarn I was using is really bulky and it was ending up a lot wider than I wanted. So, I just stopped and added two ch40 handles on each end to hold it with.

My first knit project. A scarf...eventually. lol.
Here are a few pictures I found on my camera from Christmas presents I made.
The red was mine, Orange was mother-in-law's, Curly scarf was for sis-in-law, and the pink one was for my step-daughter. There were WAY more that I made and just never got a chance to take a picture of. I wish I had though...b/c I made my mom a gorgeous cerulean blue and white one!!

WWE Smackdown
So, me and Michael had gotten tickets to WWE Smackdown Live in Huntsville, Al for yesterday. It wasnt a taped show for tv, but it was great anyway. Here are some pictures! You should be able to click to see them bigger.
The main event was supposed to be Jeff Hardy & Triple H vs. Coslov and Edge. But, Jeff wasnt there (boo!) So, it was a triple threat match for the Championship.
Diva's Match: Natalya vs. ?

Is it Monday already?...
Well, the weekend flew by way to fast. Eli is cutting his third tooth and can go from calm to screaming at night. Landon, my 2 year old, is just that...TWO. As in the terrible two's. He is driving me nuts some days with his tantrums and not napping. But, it's all okay when thw two of them are playing nicely together with a toy...until someone decides to hit the other. lol.
So, I finished the Violet Beauregard skirt from Stitch 'n Bitch. I also made a small clutch purse from the book too. If my camera was working I would post pictures. I will try to remember to take some with my blackberry later.
I am trying to decide what I want to do next. I want to make Michael the Jolly Roger Skull sweater from S'nB, but I don't want to have to go buy black yarn. I have just about every other color but black, and definately not enough skeins to make it either. There are also some skull putholders in the book that I want to make, but alas, I have only a small ball of orange cotton. So, I need another color.
What I think I have decided to try is using the pattern from the skull sweater, I am going to make a skull pillow for the living room. Thinking of using the Red Heart Grande Super Bulky in Linen. I also have it in burgundy and hunter green. I will probably do it in the green because the burgundy is so much red that it just wont do. I mean we are Tennessee Vols fans, NOT Alabama fans. So, red isnt a common color in this house. lol.

Stitch 'N *itch..
I am working on the Voilet Beauregard skirt from the book. It is working up pretty fast and I am making my main color bright pink. Yeah, out of all the yarn I have, bright pink is the color I had the most of. But, it is so cute! Here's a pic from what the one from the book looks like. I'll post mine when it's finished!

Is it Friday yet???
So, I was sitting here looking thru my emails and noticed Eli looked like he was eating something. I checked his mouth and low and behold...a ladybug wing. Well, a piece of one. Gross...Of course he got mad at me for poking my finger in his mouth, but he's over it now.
Here's my triangle shawl which I may end up making still bigger to be a triangle throw thingy for the couch. Kinda like a triangle lapghan maybe. I am just using whatever color yarn I happen to pick up so it's very colorful. (Thats Landon's hand in the corner..He was saying "Oh Wow Cool!")
I haven't been to CVS since the Monday after Christmas. And I am dying to go and get some Cheeze-its and SoyJoy bars and other stuff too. I don't think my extrabucks expire until the end of the month anyway. Need to figure out me a scenario for when I go...

Coffee Mug Cozy
Here's the crocheted Coffee Mug Cozy I made last night. I just kind of made it up as I went. It's for Michael and I am planning on making one for my mom in blue and white to match her scarf I made for christmas. It was done in her school colors(she's a teacher). Oh, and the cozy takes like, literally, minutes in the very bulky yarn I am using!
Lots of Crocheting around here
I made A LOT of scarfs and a few beanie hats for Christmas and am still working on a scarf currently.
So, I thought it was about time I updated my blog and posted a few pictures.
